WhatÕs better than one week on the
houseboat every summer??
IÕll give you a
hint: itÕs similar to a week on the houseboat only bigger. Give up? WhatÕs
better than a week on the houseboat in summer is : 1
week per month on the boat during boating season!!!!
IÕm offering 2
timeshare opportunities on the houseboat per season each of which secures one
week per month on the boat May-Oct for each holder.
What do we get with our timeshare?
á 1 week in each of the months May-October on
the houseboat for up to 4 guests (6 wks on the boat total – weeks are
Friday evening to Friday morning unless otherwise agreed to by other affected
timeshare owners)
á at least one of the holiday weekends on the houseboat
(Memorial Day, July 4th, Krasl Art
Festival wknd, Venetian Festival wknd,
or Labor Day wknd)
á a one-season commitment with a flat fee for the season
á the ability to trade weeks or give weeks away to family or
friends
á the hassle-free joys of fun lodging in St. Joe without any
home-ownership concerns or costs
á the ability to have the owner rent the boat for one of your
timeshare weeks if you donÕt want to use it (you would be given 50% of the
rental fees collected)
á discounted rates on trips out on Lake Michigan
á complete access to Pier 33 Marina amenities (pool, pavilion, shower
facilities, social events)
á a summer of fun with a builtin
socializing opportunity
á 1st right of refusal on owning a timeshare the next season
Note: though
itÕs not yet created, there will be a legal agreement covering as much of our
commitment to each other as is possible. We will both sign it and live by it.
YouÕll be guaranteed as much of whatÕs offered herein as can be guaranteed
– glorious weather not included.
How long do I own the timeshare?
á a timeshare is for 1 boating season –
basically 6 months, May-October
What if the weather is bad when
IÕm supposed to be on the boat?
á hopefully, youÕll enjoy reading or watching movies or
listening to music or exploring other indoor options in the area when the weather
is questionable.
I know nothing about boats nor do I feel comfortable
operating a 46Õ houseboat – now what?
á you donÕt need to know anything about boats to
enjoy this. You will receive instruction on the lodging aspects of the boat
which is really a house on water not much different than your current home
á you wonÕt captain the boat anywhere – IÕll do that for
you!! You just make arrangements with me to take you and your guests out and
you can enjoy being out on the water without the concerns of getting there.
Which week per month do we get?
á all of the timeshare owners will draw weeks of
the month from a hat at the beginning of the season starting with the holiday
weeks
á you can trade weeks with other timeshare owners
What costs are involved?
á an annual timeshare for the 2009 boating season
is: $6995 (6 individual weeks on the boat for 2009 would cost: $10,500. this is
a savings of over 33%)
á additional fees will apply if/when you want to take the boat out of
the slip for fun
á additional fees will apply if you give weeks away to friends/family
($50 per transfer)
á a $100 fee will apply if you want to sell your timeshare at
anytime after your purchase of it
What if I want to stay in one of
your ÔcottagesÕ or use an Airstream instead?
á anything is possible
What about my pets?
á your pets (up to 2) are welcome on your floating
condo
What about more than 4 guests?
á the houseboat reasonably sleeps 8. There would
be an additional $75 charge per guest per week that they joined you on the
houseboat
I love it!!!
How do I commit?
á contact
the owner
á 25% of the annual dues will be collected to reserve –
another 25% will be due at the beginning of the calendar year including the
boating season – the remaining 50% will be due upon arrival for your 1st
week of enjoying your timeshare
